I wonder why HT doesn't seem to be that keen about adding locations here.

Well HT is opening their third in Greer this year.

I have really grown fond of Lowe's. I hope they open a few more in the area too. I think the Verdae area would be perfect for them.

It's interesting that most of the major grocery chains we have now are all bred and based in NC. (Food Lion, Ingle's, Harris Teeter and Lowe's Foods). No SC born chains since Bi-Lo went belly up.

Stagnation in the late 1990's contributed to Harris Teeter's exit in 2001.

Harris Teeter has recommitted itself to the area. I wonder if Harris Teeter is taking a cautious approach by focusing on opening one new store at a time and having immediate stores covered. Other competitors are quicker with their processes.

The former stores that closed at Plaza Green next to Regal Hollywood Cinemas all have LOI’s. Includes the former Sears Outlet, Bed Bath & Beyond, Christmas Tree Shops, and Buy Buy Baby.

That's awesome and didn't take long. The TJX company has some formats we don't have yet like Home Sense and Sierra. Would not be surprised to see them if not at Plaza Green somewhere in Greenville soon. I was just thinking the other day Michael's needs to move over that way too and get out of that old Circuit City store on Laurens Rd since Burlington left there too.

I thought Sears Outlet became American Freight? Unless American Freight closed.
