Just looked at the menu; can anyone explain the appeal? I don't eat meat, so I was hoping they had a veggie option. Aside from that though, I can make a juicy, grass-fed burger on the grill for my family, who do eat meat, and there is no skill and not much time involved. Why do we need another uninspiring burger joint?

That's actually a smart location IMO. Lot's of apartments and town homes around that building. i once lived in the apartments both behind and across from it when there was little there. Very convenient for people that live nearby and especially when you aren't allowed grilling on apartment balconies. The Hip Chicken looks really good.

Well, you look at Five Guys menu and it's astoundingly similar.. And.. I can tell you there's appeal there for me.
I'm kinda wanting to try this place. It's on the square in Abbeville where the 5 and dime was many years ago.. And most recently had a distillery store and a cajun restaurant in it.

Well Five Guys has those fantastic greasy fries. They will also make a veggie sandwich. But yes I can see the point of people living in apartments who can’t grill.

LOL. I liked apartment living but that's the one thing I missed the most. You could have electric only grills only when i lived there but that was no fun.

It is not intended to be just another uninspiring burger joint. Apparently it is locally operated, and has more of an upscale burger concept with fresh made ingredients, rather than frozen beef and potatoes. Sort of a local version of a Shake Shack, and they also apparently operate a food truck. I like that their sandwiches use a proprietary special sauce, and the overall menu looks appealing to me. Specializing in burgers, chicken sandwiches and shakes, the limited menu will perhaps help achieve better quality control. Adding a veggie burger may be something they could consider down the line, but those are already available elsewhere and they probably have a targeted demographic and deliberate profit margin already established. I look forward to giving them a try. Looks good. But sounds like you would prefer something more like Zoes Kitchen, which is a healthier fresh food concept.

Don't really care for Zoe's. I can get veggie burgers a lot of places though, but it is always nice to have a place where the meat eaters can get their fix and I can get something as well. Five Guys does not make a veggie burger, at least they didn't the last time I was there, but they would make a grilled veggie sand which. At any rate, if I ever get to travel again and leave the guys home they will have another place to go without me.

and you can both enjoy it.
I've had some of the 'veggie' offerings from fast food places.. Not the incredible/beyond stuff, but the older 'veggie' burgers.. And.. Occasionally, you'd get one that was palatable. That's the best praise I can offer.
Of course.. I like the vegan menu at the Heart Attack Grill.

Hardee's has the plant based Beyond Burger version of the Thickburger and Burger King has the Impossible Whopper, which is also a plant based vegetarian burger. I have heard they have decent reviews but have not tasted them myself.
