I don't think anyone has posted this yet, but Jimmy John's is coming to Fairview Rd, at Fairview Commons, next to Target. The drive through signage is being installed, and much of the interior looks to be complete.
I'm a huge JJ's fan, and have been dreaming of this since I moved to the area in 2008!

I saw that yesterday while visiting Target. Great they will have drive thru pickup window. Wish the one behind the mall did.
FWIW.. assuming the info is correct, and I have no reason to doubt it.. That the old Sonic in Mauldin is becoming a Cookout.. Work appears to have started on it yesterday.

Cookout was listed on the tax record for that location when I was looking for info on the new Popeye's coming to Mauldin.

Yeah.. As I said.. I have no reason to doubt you.. But it hasn't come across my desk yet. Which is.. A tad strange. Not unheard of, tho. Ballpark.. That will be cookout #290. They are growing like weeds.
And.. I kinda wonder if they might be a strong reason why Checkers hasn't returned to the area.

Yea Checkers announced big plans to return but their delay has allowed the expansion of Cookout to overtake their business model. They may already be squeezed out of on overcrowded market.

Checkers stagnated. Either it is learning what not to do on its next attempt, or it is not returning to the area.

Checkers as a whole is not doing well. There are some horror stories about some of their locations down in Florida. Cleanliness issues. Fried rats.. No kidding.
now, you have that anywhere, possibly.. it's bad if you do, but a bad manager / bad crew can drag a place down. Problem is.. They can drag far more than just one unit down.
