Not new, but Wendys in Mauldin seems to be in the middle of a complete parking lot / building renovation.

Menkoi Udon and Soba now open in Greenville across from the Hyatt. It's quite good. Same owner as Menkoi Ramen House on Woodruff Rd.

Most of the local Wendy's are converting to the new modern design. Although nice, I think I preferred the old Wendy's look. Although it would be nice if they would bring back the salad bar or the old Superbar Buffett.

The buffet experiment for Wendy's came very close to putting them out of business. It removed valuable seating space without generating business.

I could see why. It was terrible. The smaller Salad Bar they had was so much better. At least I saw where the Taco Salad is back at Wendy's.

I would be happy to see them bring back the salad bar. But I doubt it would be economical or they would not have eliminated it in the first place.

I enjoy the KFC Buffett as long as quality control is maintained. Some locations have struggled in recent years.

They still have it at some locations? I thought that was over long ago.

The one in Abbeville, back before they rebuilt it into a KFC/Taco Bell Combo unit had the buffet.. and that place was packed on Sundays.

Of course.. There's not a whole lot of options in Abbeville.
