They literally have one store in Chicago, yes one and somebody was gullible enough to pay for a franchise and bring it to Greenville. That is really really bad business sense. This one review is flat out atrocious:
Moved to the area and excited to try the local ice cream shop with my family. The ice cream itself was fine as most ice creams are however the atmosphere was awful. What other reason do people pay extra for ice cream omfeom a classic parlor? The atmosphere! This place had no restroom, not kid friendly at all, very dated, not tasteful with the decor. Gives the impression that Knick knacks were just added and added over the years giving the decor a very cluttered feeling. There was definite water damage to the ceiling which also made it feel not taken care of. The items for kids to interact with were very dingy and not child friendly at all. Toilet seats with emoji faces inside them? Why is that a novelty? Also a large bubble machine which obviously attracts children says to not touch or play with. Umm, then why is it in the center of the room? The staff was friendly enough and prices were decent for an ice cream shop. Overall, terrible atmosphere. Needs to be updated for a new generation. Will not visit again and do not recommend to family and friends. Very dissatisfied.
From the article you linked to it sounds like the original owners are the ones opening the Greenville location not a franchise. It sounds like an interesting concept but again Ice cream places are about as crazy as all the brewery and burger places we have around here.

From the article you listed, the owners of ice cream shop are the ones opening the location here in Greenville. Since that review was written by someone over 18, the owners didn't read it:
Quote:
“We don’t take adult feedback, we only talk to children and we let children decide what goes into the restaurant and into the ice-cream shop,” Steve said. “So, my daughter and son and their friends tell us what they like and don’t like.”
The same owners are planning another gourmet burger restaurant here, called BRGRBELLY.

Next to that movie theater seems like a great spot for an ice cream place.
The owner said this: “This is the greatest small city in America,” Steve says. “It’s sophisticated. It feels like Chicago, it feels like New York, it feels like Boston, it feels like Los Angeles. ”
Why? They sold their S Main St location to Little Pigs. Has taken awhile for them to get to remodel status but they will get there.
They didn't sell to Little Pigs. They went out of business and it appears that the landowner and Little Pigs fixed up the building. Property stayed in the same hands. Hopefully P Fac kept the ovens and the original recipe. It will be a vast improvement over the old place.
Savereign now open in the Village of West Greenville
Just curious as to why no one in the photos looks happy! I guess they were all told not to smile, but it's kind of strange.
