Not only is the Greer Popeye's open, but it's causing traffic headaches, and they literally ran out food. 'If you build it, they will come.' I haven't had fried chicken in many years, but I might have to give it a try after the excitement dies down.
LOL. Nothing new for them here. Same thing when they opened in other cities like Durham NC and Lexington Ky.
Rumor is either in the old Bi-Lo or JC Penney parking lot next to Highway 123. Possibly old Long John Silver’s site. It won’t be at their current site or next door.

Not a clue. Clayton is the general contractor. Their sign is now up on site.
Isn't that extremely close to the other one? I don't think McD or Subway even build that close to each other.
IDK There are two Chickfila's in Greenwood extremely close like less than a block from one another on opposite sides of the road. One is double drive thru/outdoor seating only and the newer one has double drive thru with dining room.
Always said they could build another in Easley on the opposite side and neither one would miss a beat. The current one is extremely busy and the drive thru backs to 123. Not much room for expansion.

Remember down at I-26 and Hwy 56 in Clinton there was a Waffle House on each side of the interstate. And both of them stayed packed.
They closed one of them when they built a new one actually in the city of Clinton.
