Wow, cyn. That does sound stressful and VERY annoying. I spent many years in retail and restaurant management, and just from your description, I am questioning this new managers decision making. What solution did the district manager offer?
I am so relieved that you have the pet-sitting jobs to supplement your income at this time.

The district management just said he understood where I am coming from--I also had asked him if seniority had no meaning any more since I have 3 times the seniority working there then anyone else! That's when he said he would discuss this with the new manager. I am the oldest and the only one not having a key holder position. That is by choice. I want to enjoy this job while doing a good job and have half the stress for a dollar less an hour! When I left last night she mentioned that she has figured out a way to get me my hours back but of course that is going to mean taking some form others--as it should be really. I just have to wonder where this new girl will get her hours? Yes, I am blessed to have the pet sitting jobs right now. I will just do as I have been doing in the past--one day at a time! Thanks for thoughts Molly!

Thank you so much gentlearts---you have no idea how much that means to hear that. I don't do that enough I know and it does feel good but it still scares me that I may over step my boundaries. I just want to make others happy and be happy but I guess that is a little lame in today's world sadly! I hope it worked!

My hubby is sort of in the same boat as you right now. He’s a super great, award winning employee of a home improvement store. He took the job to work early mornings, and about 24 hours a week. Now, little by little, they are messing around with the schedule. He might quit over it, but we like the money, and he really needs to keep busy. I’m not sure how it will end up, but he’s definitely complaining to management, so maybe they’ll fire him. I don’t think they really care.

I am so sorry to hear you and your DH are having similar problems..just doesn't seem right!
Sad as it is now days it seems management no longer has their employees best interest. They remind us there is always someone to take our place.

Good morning! Church today and work tonight! This is my only scheduled day left over from last week---keep praying this situation will be resolved quickly! It's hard to go to work wondering if you are even wanted there! Wish I could get my self esteem back to the way it use to be before my hubby's passing. Not sure why but grief sure seems to do a number on your mental well being! Hope everyone has a blessed day!

Good late afternoon, everybody! I've been sleeping today - I worked the last two nights. Work is going well, I'm doing well and we love our house. We feel blessed by Jehovah. We are blessed by Jehovah.

I still feel bad for you for your puppy situation, cyn, but I understand why it had to happen. I guess I'm dreading the day we have to do the same. The Pomeranian is now 14 years old and suffers from tracheal cough, the Chow Chow is 10, she's young relatively and doing very well.

The cats are 11 and besides Matty going blind they're doing fairly well. We pray that we can take care of them to the best of our ability and provide them loving care and enjoy having them.
