We finally broke down and bought new tablets. ours are a few years old and the batteries are wearing out. I swapped them because she uses hers a lot more than me, but it didn't help much. We want to have time to get them set up and running all the apps, as well as test them for reliability before going to Italy later this year. We take tablets instead of laptops when we travel.
And we are working on her office. We have a spare 32" TV and we bought a Fire TV Stick so she can watch w/o having to connect to DirecTV.
Next week will be busy. Most of the items will be here tomorrow (Amazon Prime members) so I've cleared my schedule to make time for this. Actually, that's a bit of an inside joke since I'm retired and will have all the time I want to work on it.
I've had this awhile but I use it often and love it. I call them "granny" carts but they are folding utility carts with wheels. I bought mine at a huge Flea Market when I bought too much produce and couldn't carry it all, lol. Anyway I use it every few days to take my laundry to the clothesline out back.
I also use it at flea markets My friend used hers for Christmas shopping.
Have him post in the Science/Computer forum on CD. He'll a lot of good advice and some idiot advice. Sifting through is always interesting. There are some existing threads on this subject already.
He got it figured out. We are using it. It is much more advanced than our old one.
He is an old programmer. He does amazing things when he gets the bug to do them. Our living area has speakers on the side walls, which he wired to the stereo receiver, or maybe he wired them to the big speakers. I honestly don't know. But we have great sound in there! He's done that twice.
At any rate, I have to listen to days of worry about a new project, and then he goes and does it. Every time.
He has already decided on which computer we will buy, and how he will get the old data into the new. He is having it done! Highly unusual. But this is what he does. He always has a plan.
Got Fire TV Stick installed today. Added an antenna for local channels. Everything was easy to set up and there's a lot to choose from. It's on a TV we moved to the wife's office.
Last fall, we had Drop Shade install motorized solar shades in our backyard patio area. Having a southern exposure, the shades should come in quite handy.
