In California, they have this ridiculous Chevy's restaurant that calls itself "Fresh-Mex." That hyphen indicates the merging of two cuisines. In Texas, with Tex-Mex, obviously the cuisines are 'Texas' and 'Mexican.'

This Californian restaurant needs to be reminded that there is no such cuisine as "Fresh." Nobody ever says to his wife: "Honey, what are you feeling like, tonight" to hear her respond: "Fresh. I heard there's a good Fresh restaurant over by the mall."

'Fresh' is not a cuisine, so "Fresh-Mex" is ridiculous.

Funny you mention Chevy's...I tried it out over the Labor Day weekend...the one in Palo Alto...It was a totally disgusting meal! Not even close to Tex-Mex. I had people telling me at work that what I describe as Tex-Mex and after having them look at the Pappasitos online menu they all recommended Chevy's. Ugh! It was so disappointing!

I have been all over the Bay Area and most big cities in the US and I can honestly say that Houston has some of the best tasting food than any place else in the US and in many parts of the world!

Default Is this a rumor, or are they really coming to Houston?

In N Out is the only fast food burger we eat here in CA. I am hoping there is some truth to this. Anyone hear anything definitive?

It's a cheeseburger where the burger is cooked in mustard and you get extra spread (think 1000 island dressing) and caramelized onions. You can get your fries animal style as well, I don't really care for them though.

edit: forgot the pickles, but I don't get them.....so animal sans the pickle for me.
