Edit: It is worth pointing out that They have been teaming up with McNeese in Lake Charles which has a brand new state of the art basketball facility itself. They do summer camps there. And since Fertitta also owns the luxurious Golden Nugget Casino Resort in the area, this pairs well for players spending summer camps there.
But the Rockets need their own new facility in Houston for year-round practices. Being an NBA team, they should not have worse practice facilities than UH. Hell it's not even better than Lifetime Fitness, and is more like an LA Fitness court. Players can't even run separate drills or they have to go up to the TC main court if there is not an event going on. That's sad!

Absolutely. I was just pointing out that there have been major facility improvements. Within Houston, the Post Oak Hotel also has a private court. Were they to build a state of the art training facility, these 3 developments would be an incredible trio imo. This is honestly a low hanging fruit that can come with having a real estate and hospitality centric owner.

Supposively, the pandemic delayed whatever training facility plans were going on at the time. Hope we get news sooner then later

That basketball facility at UH you mentioned received funding from Fertitta (hence why it’s known as the Fertitta Center). If I had to guess why he prioritized UH over his Rockets, I would suppose it had to do with getting them to the Big 12. Well they’re in now, so I’d hope it’s rockets time.

??? Dude I’m guessing you’re talking about the one that was demolished years ago. ATT is way nicer than NRG. I like the way that area is developed along with the baseball stadium.

Fertitta Center was renovated long before Tillman owned the Rockets. He didn’t prioritize anything.

How about the Texans focus on actually being competitive first because they're going nowhere. Been cursed ever since they chose not to fight Bud Adams for the Oilers name/history.

Weren’t the Oilers cursed? Remember Buffalo!

And let me just say the Cowboys are every bit a dumpster as the Texans. They haven’t sniffed an NFC championship game in 20+ years.

Facilities and HQ does not equal wins!

Yet, the Cowboys are putting out a superior product than the Texans year after year. At least Jerry is trying to win and give back to the community.

You’re a fool if you believe that.

Jerry is raking in his millions from Cowboys fans living in yesteryear content with a mediocre product year after year.
