Per the Downtown Huntington Facebook page, Huntington was listed by a Stanford study as having the highest standard of living to income ratio in the country in both the high and low income categories.

That's a game changer. When the city owns the infrastructure, they can offer franchises to any and all comers that want to rent some of the fiber conductors. That means you can have competing cable and phone companies was well as Internet providers that are not tied to phone or TV companies.

South Charleston has most of the fiber optic cable in the ground.

It's good to see this project finally moving forward. It's taken way too long to get to this point.

It seems like anything involving government moves at a snails pace. If they can put fiber throughout the city, hopefully they open things up for residents.

Heritage Farm opens new Mountain Biking Trails. When combined with the new zip lines/adventure area, they really have some nice offerings there now.
