Approximately 1 person out of 885 in the US lives in Madison County. Pres Biden said we had just crossed 100,000,000 people with at least one vaccination nationwide, so at the same rate that would be about 113,000 people with at least one vaccination in the county. I doubt we're that high.

County-Level COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Data Now Available on Dashboard

A new feature on the ADPH COVID-19 dashboard provides vaccination information for each of Alabama's 67 counties, including percent of Alabama residents ages 16 years or older receiving one or more doses of vaccine and the total number of doses administered in the county. To navigate, go to arcg.is/0brSGj and use the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the screen to select the county and select the “% Receiving Vaccine” tab at the bottom of the screen. Hover your mouse and click the county on the map to view the latest data in a separate window. In addition, there is now a graphical representation showing the number of vaccines administered statewide by date, beginning with December 15, on the “Doses Administered” tab. The graph indicates that March 11 was the highest day with 5,972 injections given. The hub also contains a risk indicator map and K-12 school data.

I wonder how/if that accounts for people who have traveled to other counties and even states to get the vaccine. I know of quite a few who have taken that route. Of course we’ve probably also had people travel here to get the vaccine too.

Good question. I can't remember if they asked for my address or not when I registered. At the time, I had to certify that I was a Madison County resident, but I believe they removed that part later on.

It’s free, but worries about cost still cause vaccine hesitancy in Alabama

Well Alabama is back in last place in the nation in Covid vaccinations again. No surprise here, in our county they closed down the drive by, no appointment needed location which was working great and opened another where appointments are needed. Called for an appointment and we were told, "They would have to get back to us". That has been over two weeks ago, no call back. I hear the same story over and over.
Wondering if our Governor has a clue where those 700,000 unused vaccines are?

In case anyone needs to hear it. Walmart is giving vaccines and I found it easy to schedule an appointment. I got my first shot yesterday. They only schedule a week at a time, so by getting up at 6 am and going directly to a computer you should be able to schedule for the same day a week in the future. I found about 10 appointment slots open at the Walmart near my house in Madison.

I shared the information with friends and they found a spot on even shorter notice at a Walmart in Moulton.

Good luck.

Got my second yesterday at Sam's Club. The "trick" was to logon at 12am. For those that try 6am, and don't get a slot, try 12am.
