Indeed it would've, though I doubt we'd have recognized each other, haha.

I went to school in Limestone for 3 years (was 'bout 100 years ago). My best friend from all those years ago now lives in Gray. Always love going back to visit the area and seeing my friend. Looking at these pics is the next best thing to being there. Tell me...do you people who do reside in the area even realize you're living in the pages of a picture book???!!! Sure would love to be able to move to the area when we retire. Absolutely nothing like it in the world! THANK ALL OF YOU FOR THE OUTSTANDING PICS!!!

Kamoshika, I noticed your wonderful pics of the smokehouses. We have one almost exactly like the nearly black one you photographed. It's right behind our farmhouse. Also have three very old chicken houses in the same old blackened wood. I don't think we'll ever tear them down. Hope to put chickens in one and leave the rest for their historic significance and rustic beauty. Lord knows I won't be smokin' no chickens!

You're going to have chickens here? Oh, you should totally sell me eggs. I had connections before but I don't know anyone here to buy eggs from!

If our chickens lay well, I will gladly sell you some eggs, Jab! First dozen is free! This will be our twin grandsons' "college fund" project. They will collect the eggs and package them. Get 'em started working young...at age 3. My husband is leery though...he knows from experience who gets stuck cleaning out the odiferous coop!
