Surreal sunset in Bristol last month, unlike any I've seen before. Behind my back as I shot these was a brilliant double-rainbow:

Farm off Old Milburnton Rd. in Greene County (here's the same place in early spring of '08):

Laurel Run Falls in Hawkins Co.:

Went to Sill Branch Falls again on 1/12. It's probably about as frozen as it'll ever be but some water is still flowing behind it.

Surrounded by snow and hemlocks in the Cherokee Wildlife Mgmt. Area just, the drive in reminded me of Nova Scotia:

I'd estimate Sill Branch Falls to be 45-50' high in total, with the main waterfall making up about 30' of that. It's located off Clark's Creek Rd., 3 miles from Hwy. 107 and about 20 minutes south of Jonesborough.

Gosh, those're great, Kam. I have a great uncle who lives in Clarks Creek. I'll have to see if I can get him to go with me one day up there.

The house/farm off Milburnton Road - weird, I've never seen that. Gosh, it looks beautiful though. I want to buy it right now and restore it.

Thanks for the snow pics! We don't get snow here in Houston, so I love to see the pics!

The thing you were asking about. I'd have to see it closer? It almost looks like a feeder (like for hay) but the only problem is as far as I can see there's no way to get the hay in there. Maybe one side opens up and you can put a round bale in there or square bales. It's too big for salt blocks. Eh, I really don't know? Weird. The bags or whatever hanging around the sides are odd, too.
I think the bags may have held some kind of fly repellant
