I know what you mean it's been pretty depressing without the sun.
If anyone is planning on coming to Vegas for Christmas or shortly after you may want to pack some warm cloths due to our low temps and rain storms.

I did have a good time while I was there. I was just hoping going to the desert would give me a break from the rain. Not a drop of rain since I got home.

BTW, it was just sprinkles and at least is was warmer there than here.

Just for you Lyra:

We get enough sunlight 8 months of the year, why not have some clouds with wet stuff dropping from them to break up the monotony? If you don't want rain, perhaps snow would be better?

Is it that bad? Or was it maybe somewhere else in Nevada?
That was in Beaver Dam, AZ, just across the line near Mesquite. It's 91 miles north of Las Vegas. They lost ten homes on a golf course. Not sure if that was the Virgin River or a wash feeding into it. The Virgin River is flooded pretty bad. Runs through southern Utah, the Arizona Strip, and Mesquite, Nevada, before it empties into Lake Mead.

According to the news, a few roads are still closed in Las Vegas, and out at Red Rock Canyon which I think is closed for now. One of the two roads to get into Blue Diamond was closed too.
