I had to perform this task 28 times 2 winters ago. Clearing out our driveway so we could go to work.

I'm not sure what your point is here? I mean, seriously? I wouldn't buy a house in a crappy snowy state for ANY reason, especially not one of the notoriously liberal, over-taxed, overly-cold, miserable Leastern States. That's just the first point.

Second, your house doesn't even compare to what I'll be looking at in the future, so it's all relative. I mean yay your house went up, great, good for you. I'm going to buy a Condo in Vegas for an incredible deal next year and it will probably go up 100% within 8 years, because they're extremely cheap right now. I wouldn't even be surprised with 200% in 10 years, because a $100,000 condo on the strip that used to sell for $400,000, yeah, not a stretch to say it could be back to $300K within a decade. Vegas in boom and bust, and I don't care about "consistent" prices, I like LOW prices when I buy, and HIGH when I sell

To each...his or her own. The post you quoted goes hand-in-hand with my first one:

Default All the rain

Are any of you having to pump out your pool? Mine seems to be getting ready to overflow. Hub is afraid it will hit the house and get in, so he is getting ready to get a pump and start pumping.

Not yet, still have another 3 inches or so before it goes over the top. I have to say, I do enjoy rain for a day or two, but i am ready for it to stop.

check your equipment..there may be a drain fawcet built into the pump plumbing you can open or you may have a backwash line into your sewer plug you can open up for a little while .
