China has been actively hiding Covid-19 data from the rest of the world. The US did not become aware of the new flu variant until January when a researcher inside Wuhan leaked that information, who was promptly silenced by the Chinese government. It's not a conspiracy theory, that's what happened!

I'm having no trouble comprehending what "flattening the curve" means. I'm having trouble comprehending why it is at all necessary when the numbers are no worse than any other year and we've never done it before. You seem to have trouble comprehending that while this practiceay save a few thousand lives it is destroying the lives of tens of millions of others.
