I haven't been there yet although it looks nice in the pics. Hubby is just finishing up at Brooklyn Bowl and he said that it is a pretty nice place. Might be fun! He did mention that it was a red/black color scheme which I think is way over used. Where is any originality?

Kimba: you do know we must keep the Asians in mind! Red is their favorite color, the color of happiness, success!

Haven't noticed the color red popping up along the Strip the past decade or 2? Go peek inside the Wynn sometime!

Just finished reading Tobacco/Ian Gately, History of Tobacco. The tobacco companies were not being too successful addicting the Vietnamese to tobacco, and a Chinese consultant said: Dye it red, and they'll smoke it!

And no 4's on those elevator buttons! Ever ridden an elevator at the Palazzo? You jump from the 39th to the 50th floor, bypassing the 4's!

I have plenty of photos on both the LinQ by Caesars and MGM's promenade on my photo thread.
I like MGM's promenade from NY NY to Monte Carlo but the LinQ is better and has far more options.

Off the Vegas Strip

Hmmm, guess I didn't think of that! I noticed the Quad was red/black and the Brooklyn bowl. It just seemed as if there was an influx of it lately.

Haven't checked out the LinQ yet, but even if it ends up being as gross as Imperial Palace or the old O'Sheas, I won't care because the High Roller is awesome. The lighting effects at night are super cool and it looks like it'll be lots of fun when it opens. Does anyone know how much they're going to charge? As long as it's not too much (like more than 30 bucks), then I'll be stoked.

Imperial Palace will be renovating all of their rooms and will close off the hotel part of the resort.

Ignore the use of the old name and the news about the room renovations is only nine days old.

For those long-accustomed to growing up with certain names, to me, I'll always call that place the Imperial Palace, won't be any different when the Sahara re-opens. And I refuse to call the Sears Tower the Willis Tower.

Glad they didn't tear down the Imperial Palace, as it's one of the few places on the Strip I'd spend a night in, as I'll only stay in a hotel/motel with balconies. No balcony, ain't staying there!
