I moved back to Wisconsin got a better job . so i guess i did do something about it i never said in my post anything about las Vegas being horrible .I was talking about what other people expectations where here. All i get is a bunch of las Vegas trolls who's sole job it is to launch personal attacks whenever someone who has something to say negative about this town. Your an site administrator why don't you enforce the rules on personal attacks rather then join in .
I hope you stay in Wisconsin. You are not welcome here.

Check with this in six months. Unemployment by the end of the year (from what i hear) will be closer to 15-18%. By summer of 2010, we will see depression like unemployment.

I would not doubt it. I love Vegas, but I am now affected by this too. Unfortunately, some really bad things happened to me in the last couple days. I am going to be one of the statistics soon. This is why I got so worked up about some jerk complaining about living on $16 an hour.

I agree with Buzz, the big cities will recover faster.
And it is a lot
There is nothing wrong with a job that pays $9.50 per hour. It is better than no job at all, which is what you will find in many places.

Great comments about living within your means.
$10 per hour X 40 hours = 400 dollars X 50 weeks = 20,000
$15 per hour X 40 hours = 600 dollars X 50 weeks = 30,000
$20 per hour X 40 hours = 800 dollars X 50 weeks = 40,000
** I use this to explain to my 'Kids' all the time when they talk about housing (I also use the 3:1 ratio on maximum price of a home), automobiles, insurance, etc...

XFILES has posted here for a long time. I had him blocked for a while, but after not seeing him for a long time I changed it back and got rid of the block. The sarcastic nature of the posts is not lost anyone I don't think. Some folks just aren't happy people. I grew up in Northeastern Wisconsin and still have a lot of family there. YOU CAN HAVE IT!!! Housing is fairly cheap, but there aren't many jobs, and living is difficult.

XFILES: I'll bet you didn't land a security job for 16 bucks an hour back there. But then again, a 60,000 dollar house allows you to work a 12-15 dollar an hour job and still live pretty comfortable. I know many that do this and love thier life. It's just something that is not for me.

Sorry to hear that. I got my noticed from a company that I worked 12 years for. Fortuantely I was offered a job in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Tute, come on out. Vegas is a great place to vacation and October is beautiful! I've lived here for 6-1/2 years and there are positives and negatives about the place, like every place. I'm planning to move back to the southeast to get back to the ocean and greenery, but I'll miss some things about Vegas.

Seriously, any city is what you make of it. There is no utopia. All places have good and bad. I hope I never feel so bitter about any place I choose to live. I have fond memories of every place I have ever lived in my life. With regards to people who feel free to mock the dreams and hopes of others, I pity them.
