Gen X here. Though I'm really a Xennial. Read the chan forums in college a decade and more ago. It's really changed in the past five years to an alt-Reich forum. It was bad before that and considered the sewers of the internet in college. I don't waste time there nor advise anyone to read them anymore. It's far worse now.

Live In Studio City and seen it worse lately, especially due to the hot topics such as the homeless and the proposition for the school funding.

I definitely agree.

That is what is clear to me know. It is in my best interests to not be airing my concerns so publicly.

I think it boils down to not having friends or family in the area. I did not anticipate what I thought was a trivial story. I thought it would stay local. With all of the more pressing concerns in the area such as murders and child neglect that seem to dominate the headlines I thought it would just remain as an afterthought,

Being from a relatively small community, and with the stories that go unreported there, I did not think a much larger metropolitan community would bother to highlight something like this.

I reached out to some of the major news outlets in the area to help me deescalate the story, but its obvious that they have moved on to other headlines that are far more serious. I did not properly articulate my position when I had the opportunity to do so.

Just in that small window of time for example, walking from the bus stop to the second job, I was approached by a man with alcohol in a paper bag asking for cigarettes We are talking about a ten to fifteen minute time frame early in the morning.

Minor issues like this go unreported all the time in a city of 50,000 people that is nearly two and a half hours from any major metropolitan community. I lived in Anchorage for ten months and did just fine there, even working at a job I hated. Maybe walking out of a casino with brand new 150.00 shoes, a matching shirt and being a white man, the police possibly thought I was a drug dealer. There are depraved things happening continually here in Las Vegas and I would have never thought the police would notice a lit cigarette tossed onto a busy street. Let's be honest, there was no fire hazard in that scenario. It was tossed into the pavement with very little chance for harming anyone or landing in an open window or hitting a motorcyclist.

I know what you look like EA from that time your daughter went missing and you posted on here and Facebook. And even from before that when you posted a picture on here that was the same picture you posted on a news channels FB page that you told us about.

Ya for a night she did a disappearing act to a friends house without telling anyone thinking it was alright. We were worried because he found her jacket in the road and they hadn't heard anything but they eventually found her safe.

In keeping with the recent conversation, try this challenge. For a week, run things you say through a little filter first. Is the sole purpose of what you are about to say to make yourself feel superior and others to feel worse about themselves? If so, don't say it. Just do it for a week.
