We didn't really change anything, but ours came in $80.00 less then last month. I think a lot of it had to do with how hot it was in July.

Default is this legal?

Wife works at Wallymart.. Bonus coming in 2wks supposed to be 375. All employees told today that it will be 75 due to the fact the new manager is building an office and thats where the money's going...

I told her, wait the 2wks, if bonus isn't 375, give her 2 wk notice and we will do whatever it takes to survive.. This is absolute BS.... New management comes in, store going downhill, and they are treating the employees terrible.. all for 8 bucks an hour...

i say screw'em

Sure it's legal. That's how Walmart always treats their employees. Without a union you are F'ed.

As you described it, it is 100% legal.

Bonuses aren't salary and unless you work on wallstreet or are some sort of a corporate officer they aren't likely to be in an employment contract either - that's actually the point of bonuses, they are fully discretionary.

On the other hand, there is no law requiring 2 weeks notice either.

I had solar screens on my first home and they definitely keep your bill low. I would love to have them except I hate how you can't see as well out of your windows. We had the tan colored ones and at night it was impossible to see out.

Take a deep breath. Have her call in sick, really think about things.

I usually regretted hasty quits. I'm not saying don't get upset, but wouldn't a quick carefully worded letter to the right person server you better? some good might come out of it.

I'm just saying, sleep on it for a week, then decide.

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Wallymart also make it a practice of not hiring fulltime 40 hour a week workers so they can avoid paying health care and benefits? In my old neighborhood, I had a neighbor that worked there and she was of course, part-time. She told me most of the employees are. Then I noticed what they would do to her is add more and more hours onto her twenty every week. They would get her right up there working close to 40, but never 40, all the while telling her what a good employee she was and pumping her up verbally. I refuse to shop in there because of their labor practices. If they have to make money by exploiting their employees, I don't want to contribute to it. I don't think it is necessary to be union to treat your employees with some value.

Yes, it is practically their policy. I have a relative that works there as well and she was assigned to part time and works 5-7 days a week. Her pay check is also wrong almost every time too (short changed) and they owe her hundreds in back pay for missed overtime. I doubt it was truly the vision of Sam Walton when he began the company but alas, $ is the new religion and people are willing to do anything to get it. Here's an interesting video for anyone with a few minutes http://www.lilithgallery.com/music/W...Sweatshops.wmv
