I was originally planning to do that last weekend, but I ended up with a sick cat I had to take to the vet. She is doing much better now, almost back to her old self.
After seeing the photos on The Sun's website about last weekends dedication of the bridge with way too many people, I am glad we decided to wait until early november to go instead.
There is a totally separate area between the pedestrians and the cars. So no worries.

Default Rain ....real Rain

On the back pation at 5:30...the dog refused to join me. He stayed inside.

It came down in absolute buckets. Had to sit in the middle of the patio as anything within 10 feet of the edge was soaking wet.

Big boomers. Sky looked like Portland...Gray, thick and wet.

Sky cleared a bit in 15 minutes.

But the evil is still out there. Here it crawling around and growling. Dog is staying inside and growling a lot. .

Wow, what a storm. I had to go out about 5:30 and the streets were flooding a little and the lightening was incredible!

Nice storm. Got done shopping at Fresh and Easy when the first rain drops were falling. Around 4:20p.m. Got home and about a half hour later a nice downpour. Lasted a few hours and now it's gone. We need more storms like that. My tree's are happy tonight.

Ya I used to hate rain and I really enjoyed those storms. Minus nearly killing myself by slipping on liquefied dog feces at the park. It is interesting how slippery the roads get from some rain. Almost comparable to small pockets of black ice. I hydroplaned on the 95 and got nostalgic.

On a side note, hope nobody drives a toyota/Lexus here. The train wreck of recalls continues: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20101021/ap_on_bi_ge/as_japan_toyota_recall (broken link)

Nice storm last night. My roses definately appreciated the rain as well as my palm trees, really neat to see the temps drop below 60 last night as the storm blew through the area.

What, no video of the hydroplane?

That shouldnt be a problem now....this rain has washed 5 years of accumulated road oil away ......but yes....if felt like NJ in the winter.

Yep, will say the last few hours have been interesting. I’m sure next week the shoe will drop the way the situation was handled.
