Seems like all the transfers took swing and day shift and everyone else is getting grave-Anybody else for cocktails get called yet? I dont go in til monday which seems weird since some people have been called and then asked to come in the next day...I wonder why the delay-Maybe they have tons more calls to still make.

Hello all!! I have been follkowing this forum for a few months now....Thanks Butterfly for starting this...It has helped me keep my sanity...I applied for a job at Aria January 11th...Came from Mississippi in March for my 1st interview...Because I have a very strong management resume (over 20 years in hotels) and because I was from out of town I was sent right away to the dept. interview for a mgmt job...The interview went VERY well...I left with a great feeling but did not get too excited because I was sure I would have some very worthy competition...I got an email in June saying I was a strong candidate....Still tried not to be too excited...My status is open / active.... I guess what I'm trying to say is there are a lot more peole like me that have been watching this forum and hoping and praying right along with those that have written about their experiences since the beginning...Even though Im just now piping up, I feel like so many of you are friends...I've been unemployed since March, but accepted a position today with a casino in Mississippi ...However, WHEN my phone rings with CC's offer I just gonna have to tell the new place see ya....How are the schools there in Vegas?? I have a 4th grader.... I sure am pulling for everyone here.... I hope you will include me in your prayers now too.... Thanks for this forum...

The way it was explained to me is that they are starting out with four receptionists first and then eventually expanding to sixteen or so. To me, this means that they are pretty much going to call you in if it stays busy. I was told that chances are the start date would be moved up, but I am not holding my breath.

Not to be mean and try to "scare you away" but the educational system in Vegas, well... it sucks. Nevada is ranked one of the lowest in education in the nation. Google it if you don't believe me.

Hey!!! I appreciate the honesty....However, I am coming from Mississippi....Great schools and Mississippi don't normally go in the same sentence...Thanks again...Any and all suggestions are welcomed....

I applied for a hotel mgmt. position...I hope you understand if I'm not too specific... I really want to make a new start...I have a friend that works on the strip that is also waiting for a call....and another friend here (Mississippi) locally that went for an interview, had a drug test here that is also waiting. We had another friend (from this area) that interviewed back in the spring that went inactive soon after his interview and recently received a rejection letter. I've not had a drug test...Wish I did... a clear drug test is the only thing I know I have in the bag. This process is crazy.... I just want to know either way... I get up everyday and say today is the day....I guess eventually it will be....Good luck and many blessings to everyone here....
