My best friend applied for valet at cc (she currently works at ceasars palace). She went in for her job offer over a week ago and there were 5 gravyard shifts left, and then extra board. They told her they cut the position down 30 people and she was lucky to get a call at all. She took the extra board shift and the hiring manager said on extra board she would still get 40 hours a week.

Hey Pixy26,

As with all casinos, some bars are open and busy 24 hrs/day and some aren't that great. In my department interview, I was shown a blueprint of the casino floor and was told that the bar I applied for was expected to be a high-volume/high-pressure bar due to it's location. So, that's the place to be!

I think the first 90 days is 75% of your hourly rate, so around $12.19 per hour for bartenders. Joining the union is a choice you'll have to make. In orientation, there will probably be a union rep around to discuss it with you.

They told her they were going to hire 90 fulltime spots and since they didnt want to overhire that they only hired 60 fulltime people. But then again they told her that they were hiring 60 extra board employees. Which seems weird.
