I suggested NYC transit to accommodate LIRR riders.....as in tons of more buses running from say...Citifield directly into manhattan.....or Nassau Coliseum directly into manhattan...or maybe we can be kids again & ride those yellow school buses to manhattan!
Some people on here should ride the short yellow bus Ooops, did I say that out loud?!

Didn't the head of the union that represents school bus drivers say that his people won't be "scabs" by operating those buses during a strike?
Is there any real plan for bussing? I heard a few stations will have busses. Has this been determined for sure? I feel like the MTA is like throwing their hands up and surrendering. At least provide a viable alternative, dont just walk away from it.
This strike is going to be the nail in the coffin for unions.
People are sick of paying these people off. Whether it be back door taxes, ridiculous fares, taxes on businesses, whatever. Beware the disgruntled taxpayers backlash.

hmmmm as I recall during the NYCT strike, the MTA LIRR altered the schedule to make all local stop in queens & bk to accommodate the NYC folks....isn't that sort of being a scab?

It didn't break up the NYCT union but it did hurt them financially & caused a black eye to their rep.
Right or wrong....unions strongest power is withholding services...in this case...they want to hurt the public
