What Chamindae has in spades is the strongest alumni group in Northeast for a HS. The alumni stick together and will help your career big time. Also you will make friends for life there. They also dont allow bullying and cliques as much as public schools.

It also has a great Catholic Education and a ton of similar education and religion focused families.
Bull.

The "alumni network" is worthless if you venture out of LI/NYC.

As for strongest alumni group, consider the elite boarding schools such as Blair, Peddie, Deerfield, St Pauls, Philips-Exeter, and Groton. They educate the elite and feed the ivy leagues. Chaminade educates middle management (at best).

Oops. I didn't realise I am responding to such an old post.

Sister schools would be OLMA and Sacred Heart. Regis, though smaller, Jesuit, more selective, and Tuition Free is the closest thing to Chaminade in the NYC area. The prep schools noted do not have the NYC networking base Chaminade has. They (the smaller residential, less academically selective, prep schools) may place somewhat more kids in the Ivies (versus Ivies plus service academies plus Georgetown, Notre Dame, Holy Cross, Loyola, Villanova, etc common w/Regis and Chaminade grads) but that is a different story.

The aforementioned boarding schools are for the super elite and have 100-200 year old history. Most of the ones mentioned were orginally for boys/men only. The Roosevelts, for instance, mostly attended Groton. These schools are a step above, in terms of elitism, NYC prep day schools like Dalton and Fieldston.

even if that were true (it's not), it's completely irrelevant to what's being discussed.

Good point. While the students at PA or PE or Groton, etc may be not be the intelligent high achievers/Merit Scholars you run into at a place like Regis nevertheless their familites do consider themselves 'elite'. Actually it is a little funny when you think about it - and fortunate for those 'elites' they don't have to compete for a Regis slot - they'd be left out in the cold.
