Yes, they do. Many in this part of the county. I've hardly been to other parts of LA since the world changed.

Take me with you, Doc Brown.

Anyway, in the present, it would interfere with gatherings greatly if Garcetti would close liquor stores through the weekend and temporarily limit the number of bottles and cans per customer at stores that do stay open.

If Garcetti as usual won't do anything tangible to prevent private gatherings, we should use some guerilla warfare. If a neighbor seems to be having a party with guests this weekend, turn up the volume on the TV or music source. If he or she comes over to complain, dare a call to the cops and then point out that gatherings still are not permitted. Especially if the visitor isn't wearing a face mask. However, don't do that with a violent-seeming neighbor.

Governor Newsom will announce some restrictions tomorrow. I predict that indoor dining will be shut down in some counties. He also previewed addressing family gatherings. I don't know what he can do that would be more effective than the heavy-handed ideas I've stated.

I still see idiots running past my home every day without masks. We will NEVER get out from under this.

If we were in the 1950's, there would probably be gangs armed with baseball bats who would bash in the shins of people running around without masks. But we shouldn't do something like that today, because it's illegal, and I condemn all illegal activity -- just saying that's what people would probably do back then. So...

My neighbor had a birthday party in backyard back in April/May (that first week off lockdown during heatwave) with around 25 people not wearing masks or socially distancing at all. It was still going good at 10PM...was thinking of calling neighbor as elderly Mom was going to bed. Somebody beat me to it and called the Cops...accidentally knocked on my door...showed them where to go...they quickly shut it down.
