Yeah, don't try driving to Palmdale... the 14 freeway is closed from Sand Canyon in Canyon Country to Avenue S in Palmdale.

The clouds lifted a little while ago for a few minutes and I saw snow on Oat Mountain in the Santa Susana range (3,748 feet).

Made it up to Lancaster this morning, heavy snow all through Acton and snowing all over the AV. People skidding out, one over the rail, it was nuts. Half way through the day they sent us home. Oops, the 14 is closed, 5 is closed, major fatality on Bouquet, yikes. Decided to try San Fransisquito. It was an adventure, but a fun one since I had 4WD. People with little cars and 2WD pickups were not doing too good.

I couldn't agree more. I do plan to go up to Frazier Park for a weekend to get into the white stuff.

Of course I work on the 15th floor so I can see the wet stuff as snow before it melts ans turns into rain!

Of course, this probably happens once every fifty or hundred years. I know it would mess up the roads and everything, but wouldn't it be fun to have a snow day here??
Let's trade, I live in Vancouver, Canada and it's snowing here. I'm tired of the whole rainy/snowy winters up here, I just want it to be summer again (our summer temperature is similar to your winter/spring temperatures)

Here's some snow (in Victorville)!

Here's me in front of the house. Also, Frosty the Snowman!

Kids playing in the street (I have NEVER seen these kids playing outside so this photo says a lot!):

Thanks, everyone who posted pictures! My brother, who lives in Palmdale, said he's going to e-mail me some of his own photos, which I'll share here. He said something about 10" of snow, with two foot drifts! I'm happy for him... (Wah! )
