Great job, thanks BBMM. The census website only has data for census tracts and my willingness to add all of the tracts of Boston went away pretty quickly.

A few things.

I am shocked by the data for Worcester, That's almost 20k above the ACS for 2021.
ACS data had put Worcester virtually flat since 2010, every year. That's a 10% discrepancy, on a large city.

The 3 largest cities in MA are incredibly close in term of racial diversity (although the makeup is of course different).

Brockton is the most racially diverse city in MA?

A few curiosities.

Blackest census tract in MA, in Boston, the one west of Blue Hill Avenue, around Cummins avenue, 80% Black.
There are also a couple of tracts with over 70% black in the area.

Most native American,2 tracts in Mashpee. Only 2 tracts above 3% in the state (except for a fluke).

Most Asian 56%, in Quincy. 2 other tracts above 50% one in downtown Lowell the other in Westborough.

There are tracts with Latino over 80% in many areas, Lawrence, Springfield, Chelsea, Revere etc

White, sorry, way too many to check

The three states with the greatest increase in diversity from 2010-2020 (biggest drop in white population as a share) were:

1.Washington (-8.7% white share)
2.Massachusetts (-8.5% white share)
3.Nevada (-8.2% white share)

https://www.census.gov/library/visua...20-census.html

Connecticut was number 4 at -8.0%

And further:
As of this June, there are 3.707 million workers in MA. 3.526 are employed (5.0% unemployed). 3.457 are non-farm employees.

The average hourly wage for all employees in greater Boston is $35.50/hr (inc. salaried employees). I couldn't easily find wage info for Springfield and the rest of the state (Greater Boston to BLS includes all of Worcester county, Rhode Island, Hillsboro county, NH, and Windham county, CT) i.e. western MA and the cape and islands.
