Well for sure they won't have the Real ID *, which requires proof of citizenship.

What I'm saying is--there is obviously a process in place today, to prevent other legal non-citizens who own driver's licenses from getting on the town voter rolls in MA. This would require an expansion of that process to include the undocumented license holders.

I don't ave a Real ID, just a standard Mass. license. There are currently no safeguards in place to prevent illegals from voting in this state.

You're right and there are no processes in place to keep any non-citizens from voting including permanent residents. It's called the honor system. We rely on people not checking the US citizen box on the form.

There are perjury penalties under federal law for making a false declaration.

You'll need a Real ID to travel domestically by air starting May 3, 2023.

It's not a perjury crime under federal law because it's a state document. It's an unlawful voting charge (if it's a federal election) and it can carry serious penalties but one has to be caught for it to mean anything.

And this is exactly what’s intended - first it’s being illegal is not illegal, then it’s being illegal is legal, and finally it’s let them all vote!

If your contention were true, we would have thousands upon thousands of non-citizens voting already. That doesn't happen, other than in some dark corners of the conspiratorial right wing internet.
