Lol. This thread has gone off the rails.

I'm guessing the old geezer has just lost his marbles but had probably always been a racist. I would have guessed maybe drunk but sounds like there's would have been reported

Can't tell you the last time I saw flamingos outside a house.
I remember a few years back there was this popular thing going around where you could get "flocked" and someone would put tons of pink plastic flamingos in your yard. This was a fundraising stunt. https://www.fundraiserhelp.com/pink-...fundraiser.htm

Other than that, I haven't seen pink flamingos in anyone's yard recently either.

I just came across an thread on linkedin where someone had said, Asian Power re: a certain event. I can only imagine the uproar if the word white had replaced asian. It also just seemed like an odd/unnecessary thing to say. I think Asians have proven their place in the workforce.

These arent poor communities.

I just dropped to a random street near new mission and by strokeof luck i get an image of a woman tending her garden. Is this "the majority of homes are a mess"?

How can this be?
The two streets look pretty clean but those are not the most attractive homes....chain link fences, worn/faded vinyl siding, satellite dishes hanging off a few houses. Also, that doesn't look like an Asian woman tending to her garden, although she looks like she's doing a fabulous job keeping her property neat so I'd welcome her as a neighbor any day.

Pretty much. Either feeble minded or off his meds. But probably a lifelong racist as well, feelings like that don't just pop up over night.

That's because you haven't been to GeoffD's bungalow.

I've never really understood the satellite dish hate. Major companies use satellite dishes (albeit not as common anymore). You can afford Dish TV, i don't think thats really a bad thing. The satellite has to go somewhere.

One of the houses you're referring to has a Satelite dish, and a paved-over yard- but its very well maintained and cared for

While there are imperfections I see telltale signs people actually care about their house's outward appearance

The house right across from that one also has a dish hanging off the front. I personally just don't like the aesthetics of satellite dishes that are viewable from the front or sides of houses. If you must, find a way to conceal it out back or behind a bush somewhere. They are an eyesore in my opinion.
