this house went for quite a bit under asking:

Must have to do with the water surrounding it (fear of flooding) or the power lines...not sure. Beautiful house with lots of space, privacy and great views.

My cousin is a single woman near 50, and she lives in a townhouse with a tiny yard.
People in her situation would prefer multi-family communities with easy access to services.

Sure, but it's not unreasonable to believe there are others in similar situations that would feel similarly. I know several people in that approximate age group with similar life circumstances that almost exclusively want a townhouse or condo (which comes with its own community, generally).

I’m guessing the issue is that it’s only a 2 BR. I’m guessing the septic keeps it from ever being any bigger.

ahh i missed that. Strange to have a 2800 sq ft house have 2 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

And three of them are full bathrooms.
I guess they have the freedom to choose where they want to shower.
