I highly doubt he makes $30k in a day very often but I think it's possible for some gigs.

There are some affordable rentals popping up on Craigslist, but none of these people will call me back.

I would live in Paradise Gardens right down the street from my work, but they require that your income be 3x the rent which is $43k.

I might end up renting a condo close to Fred's Tacos in South Kihei. It's next to this undeveloped lot though. Anybody know what they're doing there? There are irrigation pipes but also some cargo containers. Are they getting ready to build something?

No idea what's going on there, but it's been vacant quite a while. I wouldn't be too worried if you're renting a place.

For what it's worth, that's a great area; you've got the world's best sushi at Koiso, Da Kitchen Express and Kam II is just across the street. Our place is just a couple bloacks to the north.

I asked my former coworker at the county. It belongs to a developer but they apparently cancelled plans to build condos.

It looks like a potential homeless camp or site for other unsavory activity at night when there's no one paying attention. I don't think I want to live by there. It's bad enough here in Pukalani where I have to call MPD about once every couple weeks for domestic violence or gunshots in the neighborhood...

All of Maui's like that. Except in Wailea and Kapalua they have gold plated uzis. With silencers in the better neighborhoods. It's all due to the cannibals and folks who aren't being observed at night.

Maui. It's a friggin hell hole
