Following is the list of IDF paths for the enlistment of non-Israeli and Israeli overseas volunteers, further down the details of the required qualifications: Mahal - Who Can Volunteer for Service in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)?

You really should have started your own thread.

I would presume that if you cannot pass the IQ part they would not have any interest in you at all. Being in shape doesn't mean anything if you lack the requisite cognitive ability they are looking for.

Default squinting on the French Foriegn Legion eye test

Hello, I have -6 dioptres in both eyes and could probably pass the French foreign legion eye exam by squinting
So would they allow this, me squinting that is? Also I'LL be in Israel in 9 days to try getting into the IDF through machal, if I get accepted there and finish my service then try out for the legion would my chances of getting accepted be greater? Despite my crappy vision? Good opinions and answers are much appreciated. Thanks.

Heck, you'll pass the ffl vision test even if you walk in with a seeing eye dog and make up the letters you "see".

Default yah uh..ok

If youre serious that's just great, if not, well i suppose it was a dumb question anyway. I guess I should just go there and see for myself. One quick question though for those who know, if I do fail cause of my eyes, would I be able to try again after having LASIK?

I was just kidding, based on how easy it was many years ago to join. I have no idea what the situation is like now.

Well, call up a recruiter on their listed phone number.
