I'm at about 4800 ft elevation at the edge where the sagebrush and pine trees meet. We had two days of snow this week and the weather is calling for chances again next week. Not good for gardeners . I had some plants try to start leafing out but they have suffered again and I am pretty sure I lost a few again this year. It's funny, they can make it through the cold winter but bring on faux spring and they suffer from the almost warm/back to cold. Our lows at night are still most nights below freezing also.I lost some young roses I had rooted myself so that is sort of discouraging. The lilacs and peony are the only thing around here looking happy.

I have to be careful with my vegetable garden. I always wait until May 1st to get things in the ground. I live in a valley so late frosts are always possible. The good thing is I don't have to mow as much in April.

Last time I stayed at Cooper's Creek must have been in the summer of 94. Stayed upstairs above the store and office in the big room. Maybe back this summer. Wish I could get the kids to all meet us there. That is where we played as a family back in the 70's. Not sure but after thinking more my wife and I may have stayed in a cabin there in 2000. I think we did. I miss camping at the Fall Creek Camp Ground.
