I like your quote about standing close to the edge.

I wish we had a woods with many critters. We do our best, we feed the birds, squirrels & rabbits but that is about all we have here in town. We were so excited yesterday morning, we actually had a possum, and it was really a fat one. I wonder where he lives. The villagers actually said last year we had a small bear pass through town, they saw the tracks. I can't understand why all the hunters we have locally couldn't track it. I envy you your critters.

Ok, everyone, how about New Year's Eve plans???? Anything special going on???? DH and I will have the honour(?) of having two of our grandsons staying with us while their parents paint the town red, or whatever colour is popular now!!!! I will have to promise the parents not to feed their pride and joys too much ice cream, cake, pie, candy or anyting else that they deserve. HAHAHA.

Prayers, please. Our daughter-in-law (age 48) was taken to the hospital this morning, alive but unresponsive. She has been fighting MS for 11 years but was diagnosed with stage 4, non-small cell lung cancer beginning of November. Cancer had spread to her spine and brain. She's been in and out of the hospital ever since but just had a good ten days (Christmas and New Years) at home with her husband and 11-year old daughter. Listen to her daughter sing a song she wrote about her mother's battle at Youtube.
