Maybe it's a regional thing they only sell time to time? Like McRib?

Besides MN is a Yankee state.

I ate a double quarter pounder last night, and my stomach has been killing me since!

Actually I'm funny. I don't consider Missouri Midwestern or Southern. It's got it's own vibe.

as a foreigner when I look at a map I would lump MO with Kansas, Iowa and Nebaska ...mostly flat land, agricultural based with colder continental climates

its also fascinating how prevalent and divisive that "yankee vs rebel " thingy still seem to be

Only to a very small and mostly anonymous group of whiners.

The rest of America moved on.

No, most areas of MO aren't flat. The soils are not as good for growing crops compared to the Midwest.

The squeakiest wheel always gets the grease. Internet forums offer complete anonymity, and without true accountability, a vocal minority revel in irresponsibility and will speak in ways they would not dare in the company of others, and argue topics they know they could not possibly defend in the 'real world'.

The vast majority on this forum show their indifference to any particular topic, by not taking part in the discussion. Silence truly speaks volumes, but it also makes for a unused forum. Freedom of speech comes with no mandatory prerequisite of intelligence.

Not all of Missouri is continental climate. the SE and far southern parts of the state are Subtropical. The state as a whole isn't flat at all besides the bootheel and parts of northern MO.

And most of the nation has moved on from the civil war. The purpose of this thread wasn't to refight the civil war, it was to discuss where Missouri belongs culturally. There is no way Missouri belongs with the southern states more than the midwestern states. The people that think it does are acting like the entire state is similar the bootheel, which is laughable.

I agree with this to an extent. The Ozarks is a perfect example of this in my opinion & I consider it it's own region independent of the South or the Midwest.

I've driven the whole state on my motorcycle recently. Absolutely impressive state. I see both Northern and Southern influences...ultimately creating it's own vibe--maybe the best of both? Impressively unique comes to mind.
