It appears Joe Romeo's I-79 Honda Mazda has worked out a deal to also build their used car dealership across from their new dealership (effectively moving the entire dealership to Morgantown from PA). This still leaves room for a store the size of 39,300 square feet next to Hobby Lobby (would be a good location for a Duluth Trading store).

I drove by the new Joe Romeo's today and it only mentioned Honda. Will they be selling Mazdas there as well? Or are they dropping that line.

I have no clue. Maybe they are leaving that in PA for now or they are still looking for another lot to build on. When I talked to them last they didn’t specifically say it’d be Honda only at the new place, just that it was going to be the new car lot and they were hoping to also move the used car lot to Morgantown, but nothing specific about brands.

It looks like last week they paved a couple more roads in WestRidge and poured curbs up to the office building area (there is a very defined road outline now with a center grass area lined with concrete curbs, like a boulevard type of lay out).

Rumor has it that Kohl’s is coming to the old Belk location and Burlington Coat Factory is coming to the old ElderBeerman store.

Now we just need a HomeDepot and possibly a Staples in town somewhere and I’ll never have a reason again to go to Clarksburg or Uniontown (been running to both recently for some tools from HomeDepot and not being able to pick it up in town is driving me nuts)

Lol for now it is. They do have at least one of the office buildings started so eventually it won't lead to nowhere.

As far as a HomeDepot out at Cheat Lake, I never knew of one being in town, there is a Lowes at Pierpont but I had never heard of a HomeDepot being here. I had heard they tried to get the old Lowes at the mall but Lowes threw a fit and took the store back over to block HomeDepot.

There has never been a Home Depot in Morgantown. The closest are Bridgeport, Uniontown, and Wash PA.

I haven't heard anything regarding Menards and Rural King for a while. Hopefully those also pan out.

I believe the Menards is still moving forward but it won't be one of the first built and because of that we wont hear anything until at least spring of 2019. Rural King who knows, the left over Kmart space is supposed to come available sometime in 2019, I assume after they are done subdividing the space up. I'd imagine we will also hear more in 2019 regarding the Rural King.

2019 could be a big year for mall, WestRidge, UTC, Gateway and Mon-Fayette connection center announcements since it seems most of the earth moving is done and all that is left is to actually build stuff.
