Vera: Poster Child

Entertaining though at the end, a little bit of the disbelief in that "you know, you caused all this......but we are all okay with you sweeping it under the rug". Otherwise, a 7.6.

As I was seeing this movie a couple of years ago I said to myself - If Gary Oldman does not win the Oscar for best Actor, I may have to ear crow.

Brilliant acting. Great film. And I did not have to eat crow, after all

Cracker: One Day a Lemming will Fly (1 and 2)

We-ll, anyone new to the scene and watching this show would conclude that not only are the British uncivilized but that they are just like the Nazis. If they think they have who they are looking for, they are going to keep working on them until they have their case, right or wrong. There was a nice come upptance at the end but hardly enough to justify the lack of humanity in TPTB. It may be entertainment in "it's just a movie" (and from that angle, it is decent movie making for the emotions do carry through) but for a series of movies about the hero, he is very quickly becoming not so heroric to me. A 5.4.

The Frozen Dead

Evil doctors, dangling bosoms, and ones worse possible fears of being dispatched in the most primitive ways. Eh! It's a good horror flick for the place you don't want to be. A 5.0.

Invasion of the Bee Girls

A rewatch but I didn't remember most of it. B rated sultry movie with lots of fun for everyone all around, from Anitra's sultry eyes, to William Smith's combative brawn, and lots of toplessness. A 6.66.

Prehistoric Women

Not too bad. It's no When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth or Raquel Welch, but it is passable to pass the time. A bit on the poetic licence and the narrator helps a lot back in a time when there wasn't much language. A 4.1.

I am currently watching Cinderella Man (2005) on Tubi. I'd meant to see it when it came out but never did. Good cast and music (Thomas Newman).
