I KNOW I'm in the minority. I read the racist and putrid remarks in the UL.

Why should we ship them to MA when they can pay the full rate to NH and still pay less?

Are you all against educating criminals in prison also? Prisoners are offered the opportunity to get an Associates degree with 75% off the costs. The families of prisoners pay the bill.

Offering the NH rate to these NH residents is no skin off your nose. Increasing enrollment, no matter how we do it, will keep tuition rates down for everybody.

Schools should accept smart people,no matter race, ethnicity, legal status, national origin, religion, sexuality, or anything else that is not in their control or choice.

Like many things in the United States (one of the biggest being presidential elections) - we are forced to choose the lesser of two evils.

1. Educate at a discount
2. Pay for them when they end up on government aid

Seeing as there are so many people here illegally now that aren't being sent back, I feel that there needs to be a path for these people to take to become legal in this country. I'm not saying to reward people that broke the law, but in the case of all these children, there has to be a way to fix things.

There will never be a solution that both sides of the issue will be happy with.

They aren't being sent back because they are an effective tool for a certain political party and until citizens DEMAND it clearly it won't stop

20 MILLION illegals in the US - roughly 15K in NH.

Immigration Reform provides undocumented immigrants with a legal way to earn citizenship so they can come out of the shadows. It holds them accountable by requiring they pass background checks, pay taxes and a penalty, go to the back of the line, and learn English. It requires everyone to play by the same rules.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/defa..._blueprint.pdf

The National Conference of State Legislatures report, released Tuesday, documents a 64 percent increase in state-level immigration legislation; in all, 2013 saw a total of 437 laws and resolutions passed on immigration, compared to 267 in 2012.

All that is really possible at this point is legalization.

A path to Citizenship should be demanded only for childhood arrivals who grew up here, know no other nation and are not to blame for their immigration status. 15 years of legalization for the rest.

In 1986, President Reagan granted amnesty to 3 million illegal aliens. The bill originally included wording that would punish the employers who hire illegals. It was supposed to close the borders.

It didn't work. The sponsors of the bill removed the penalties to employers for hiring illegals because allegedly it would CRUSH the corporations that live off corporate welfare.

An entire subgroup was left out of the required background checks - subcontractors and migrant workers. Nobody checks the paperwork of subcontractors to see if they are illegal or not. Remember the gardeners for Romney's MA house? He didn't fire them even after it was proven they were illegal.

After the law passed in 1986, there was a bottleneck for illegals and no punishment for illicit hiring. Therefore, the rate of illegals entering the country soared.
