Down here in far south Jersey I’m in a very motorcycle-heavy area. The bar down the street that is usually packed with motorcycles was empty the last couple of weeks and I suspect a lot of their patrons were at Sturgis. Now they’re back here shopping at the same stores I am shopping in. Hopefully there won’t be a rise in numbers but I guess we’ll have to wait and see. I just read yesterday that a tattoo artist who worked the festival is positive. Can’t even imagine how many people he infected, especially those who got face tats.

And doesn't travel increase the chances of the virus continuing to spread, which is what Murphy is trying to avoid? I really do think the guy just doesn't have a clue at times, which is a real shame. And I'm a person who understands that taking precautions are necessary. But, not to the extent that they're being taken right now.
We just went to AMC at Neshaminy Mall in PA. Not too bad. Older seats, but nice prices. I felt safe sitting there. I didn’t eat anything and stayed masked the whole time, but i think they did a good job socially distancing the patrons. There is absolutely no reason NJ can’t do the same.

I was down the shore a couple of weekends inside this tiny ice cream shop that was packed, but apparently that's ok because we weren't consuming the ice cream inside the store
Waiting in line (while wearing a mask) is much safer than sitting down with others and eating (which necessitates removing the mask).

This is the fundamental problem - that you can't eat and wear a mask.

Reopening indoor dining is reckless and irresponsible until the virus is contained. Period!!!

How many people have to die for you to take it seriously?

500,000?

1,000,000?

Look at the survival rate. I have resumed my life. I am going to the bars, friend’s houses and work, and we’re taking advantage of the lounge we recently put into our office and having in-person meetings. I go to Mass every Sunday and wear a mask on my way in and take it off as soon as I sit down, as do all the other parishioners. I took a trip to visit family and went on a plane, and (gasp) I NEVER GOT SICK. You have fun shutting yourself in and destroying your own life over what is basically a glorified flu, and destroying the lives of the small business owners as well. I’m not taking it seriously because there’s nothing to take seriously. It’s the flu. It’s people like you that make the whole situation unbearable and make me want to leave this leftist state.

Ok ...so when is that going to be? Two years from now? If you support closing private enterprise until there’s a vaccine, you’re absolutely delusional and need to take a long, hard look in the mirror.

You’re another one Hannah. It’s funny how you people tell us to “listen to the science” when you refuse to look at it yourselves. The damage you’re doing to yourself is unreal right now, and I hope you realize it before it’s too late. Apparently the Constitution only matters to you when it affects you personally. Have fun rotting at home. And I say this as I get ready to hit the bars in Rockland County this afternoon.

Oh, they don’t only stay home. They preach and lecture to everybody who has chosen to resume their life and tell them they’re selfish idiots if they don’t feel the exact same way. This “pandemic” has really shown people’s true colors, and I’ve cut a couple of people out of my life already because of the way they talk to me. It’s very sad.

we were someones house the other day, 3 families. the guy has been pretty serious about the lockdown and he was saying that 8% of people who got the rona died. he was using a very questionable calculation that ive never actually seen anyone attempt.

one night we went to get ice cream and a mom did tell her kids to get away from our kids because they werent wearing masks. we were outside.

i think when it comes to restaurants, there are some boomers that will complain online about people not social distancing but for the most part; if they are there they are ok with the risk. i think people generally feel that the risk should be their choice and not the governments. restaurants should be allowed to have people dine in them and everyone is free to choose to go or not. it isnt fair to the restaurants to not let them do business. not all of them have outside options and that can be very limited and also very subject to weather.
