Don't mean to be a buttinsky but Memories is actually very good. It is the place that everyone wants to take their dates for prom. I have only eaten there once but it was good, very charming resturant. My son and his girlfriend have eaten there several times and my daughter says their potatoe soup at lunch is really good. Sorry to butt in.

I have been there a few times also, but not in the last year or so. It was good then and must be now as its always packed when I go by. Not sure if they have enough chiles for Cathy..LOL.

No, I haven't hit that one, Harry!

I did hit Lucy's in Ruidoso, though.....very tasty. I asked for hot green chile sauce on my grilled Santa Fe chicken breast.....and I got it. My nose was running, and my eyes watering.

Now that's the way it should be, LOL!!

70 in Ruidoso....and 86 in Alamo...*sigh*

It's HOT!!!!

Yes.....finally, cooler evening AND morning temps.

But you know what? The highest nighttime temp I've seen so far this summer (even June, the hottest) is 73.

Yeah I know, my hubby and I have always said how cool it gets at night here as compared to Texas, geez there it is hot all the time and it doesn't make a difference when the sun goes down. If we had gotten a house with central air I probably wouldn't even be complaining about the weather here. So next year if we stay I am moving to a house with central air and I will no longer complain.

That's probably true, LOL!! But it really bothers me a LOT more than it used to.

If you want almost NO cold weather, I'm surprised you haven't chosen FL/Southern CA, South Texas, et al.....

I'm really debating my going back to Florida as the cold bothers me more and more every year just like the heat seems to bother you more and more as you have stated.

I realy love Southern NM and the desert and mountains but i can't take anymore winter lows of 18 in the valley and 22 in the heights for six months every year as i did over these years in albuquerque. I'd miss the Creosote's more than anything else as they smell so awesome in the southern desert regions as they don't exist up in albuquerque nor in Florida.

I guess we'll see how i do this winter in Southern NM as it's farther south and lower in elevation than albuquerque. That freak snow storm in albuquerque back in June really had me reaching for the Jack Daniels ....lol....
