I know the process is draining, but do not forget that there are hundreds of applications to go through everything will take time. I have already been through the entire process and I am in the process of getting into a new building.
If you are approved by HDC you will receive a personal call.
The company that does the lease will not call you to sign the lease until the apartment is completely done, due to the fact they must allow you in after you have signed a lease and paid your down payment.
MAHNY does not like to give any update for the simple fact that when they give one person, that person tells another and now they have a ton of calls coming in. If your file went to HDC for approval MHANY will have no answer for you until they get an answer from HDC. And once you are approved by HDC They send your file to the company and it's all in their hands.
If you haven't received a letter telling you that you have been rejected for what ever reason then you do still have a chance. A lot of people give up hope spend the money they were suppose to save for their down payment and when they get called they lose their spot. The next name on the list is picked and that name could be yours!
Welp I interviewed at the end of October and I still haven't heard anything. Has anyone that interviewed post September (w/ no cb preff) heard anything?
I asked and they told me that I should keep waiting because they did not have record of a rejection/waitinglist letter being sent out

I didn't hear a single word for four months between the first and second interview so there's reason to stay positive. Also keep in mind the building is not yet even finished. I'll remain cautiously skeptical until I have the key in my hand, though. haha. Positive vibes to all.

I interviewed as well in October and havent heard anything as of yet. I dont have CB preference but I do have Municipal employee preference. I spoke with someone yesterday who told me the same thing that there was no rejection/wait list letter on file that was mailed out and stated that it was a good thing if I had yet to hear anything (whatever that means lol). We just have to be patient I guess especially hearing that the building isn't fully completed. If its for us we will get it if not we will be blessed with something else. Trying not to stress about it since its beyond our control.
Thanks everyone who posted more information in the last few days. Every new post in this thread winds up being a HUGE dopamine rush to open and read. It's an emotional rollercoaster indeed. I just keep wondering what if my rejection letter was dropped in the wrong mailbox!? It happens a lot in my building.
