Wow, I just looked at it again and all the past rentals are now listed as 12/22, but as of a few days ago each of those had the specific date.. the last unit rented listed it as 1/8. Interesting.

And as you can see, there are zero rentals listed prior rented, or currently on the market above the 19th floor. The floors above aren't done yet, or the apartments themselves aren't done yet... so don't give up hope people! you might be getting one with a crazy view!!!! (although personally i'd rather live on a lower floor... the apartment I viewed was on the 4th floor back in November).

Yes don't give up hope. I was on the third day of interviews back in August and my move is only just now being finalized. I still won't move in until March 1, at the earliest. From what I've been told there is nobody living above the 14th floor, roughly 20+ units are currently occupied, but rentals are approved up to the 19th floor. It's a lengthy (but worth it) process. I would be ready to resubmit paperwork after the lapse of 120 days. (I had to.) Of course, any change in income/CB preferences will be re-evaluated. My income changed slightly but they recalculated it on the spot and I was still eligible, sent my file to HDC for approval, and then it happened pretty quickly.

I am excited because they include all five income bands and seem to have a decent spread among all of them. I qualify for more apartments in this one coming up than I did for Dean, so it gives me hope!! Same architects and stuff so basically the same apartments, but since it's all affordable, all the amenities are included and we wouldn't have to pay extra like we would at Dean (although I still want to live in dean so badly, I have an architectural hardon for that building for some reason, and yes I realize it's hideous!).

Denise brings up a good point.. How long can you be in these lotteries, or the waitlist if your living situation changes? I don't see a raise coming any time soon to be honest, but some people will get them. Also they make you hand in all the same paperwork every 120 days, so if you are on the waiting list for a year you're going to be going through this process three times a year!? What if you HAVE to move!? My lease here is up in August, and if I can't snag an affordable lottery apartment I am going to have to move elsewhere, possibly to NJ, but definitely perhaps to another borough. or should I just rent a room in the same CB!!?

Back in November I was was to believe so fully that I definitely had the apartment that I went out and took out a loan to make SURE I would be able to cover the security deposit, first months rent (because I still have to pay rent here and give at least 30 days to my roommate and also moving costs... tho what happens to people on an actual lease!? breaking a lease can get you sued then you are up ****s creek because if you have any sort of lawsuit via a housing issue you are automatically denied any upcoming lotteries. I wish I waited to take out that private loan until I actually had something concrete. I feel stupid now and now in any upcoming lotteries I will have to explain why I took out this loan (it wasn't much, just 2,600 dollars... but that IS a lot for many of us).

I will say this.. never turn down a raise at work if you do get one. But I am sure it depends on everyone's situation. I don't really have much to add on this topic anymore, but be careful what you say here, cuz half the **** we are saying on here are now winding up on that pacific park watchdog blog that is written by just one person and I am chary of his agenda. I tried posting a few times on there, but my comments have never been approved.

good luck everyone!
I don't see the building you speaking of on the website, I just see the 1040 Dean st one ?

The one that went live today is low-income only. The one being referred to is for low & middle income and located at 38 Sixth Ave. That one will go live tomorrow.
