Does anyone have any sense of how long Forest City will wait following HDC approval? My lease is up in October :/
I think they were taking longer earlier because there were many issues with final touches on various units.
When I viewed an apartment on Thursday they said they are looking to lease up as soon as possible once you're approved, and they gave me contact info regarding how to speed things up once I have approval.
Also, I have a boyfriend who's on tour, he lives at home in Ohio when he's off the tour but he comes home to NYC for auditions sometimes.
If in a year or so he wants to move in with me, I'll probably be forced to leave the building, right?
You really need to talk to management about this. There are many NYC rules and regulations regarding this and pros and cons. If you guys break up, he can stay and you can't have him leave. He doens' even have to pay rent.
I'm just glad its a smoke free building. And everyone had to sign it! If I even smell cigerettes or marijuana in the hallways...I'm probably going to get everyone involved to get the person out.
