I sent my application and money orders on Friday, certified mail. Scheduled to be delivered today, but for the past two days it's remained "in transit," including today.
Hopefully the USPS hasn't lost this thing, but if it does, what's my recourse? If I have to show up in person with new money orders and a copy of the application, I will, but then what if the original set eventually shows up?
Despite never changing from "In Transit to Destination" to Arrival at Post Office and/or Out for Delivery, the next update was "Delivered, Front Desk/Reception," one day after scheduled delivery. So... I'm hoping they received it, and I'm waiting for their letter. Thanks for your concern, and good luck on the list!
There was an update to the list today. However, it is still unclear if those who have log numbers in the 550-700 range are on the current list or a new list. I tried calling, but was sent in circles with no outcome.

I'm also confused by this, because it says the last approved number was 536 as of 11/6/2017, but my number is well below that and nobody has contacted me other than acknowledging that they received my application and fees.

The number you have is it from the new list or the old list. I believe they are still working from the old list.
Correct me if I am wrong.
How high do the numbers from the old list go before they start picking from the waiting list? I'm in the upper 500 range. Does that mean I am close to being contacted, or very far away?
