i have bad news for everyone! i contacted the new management regarding the 1 bedroom list for 1540 york ave, name is "kathy ", i i email her regarding the status of the list, and she said minimum wait time is 5 years and my number is log 70, i couldn't believe it !!!!, she said they still working from 1998 list and that the information that's what they have , Tudor realty services which is the old company have already started the list, i had previously got contacted with them and they were working on the new list and were up to number 30's that was back in October 2017 , NOW HOW COME THE NEW MANAGEMENT COMPANY IS SAYING THEY HAVENT STARTED THE NEW LIST!! this is fraud!! i believe the new management company is trying to keep apartments for themselves . im planning to contact HPD department directly and send a email to Bill de blasio about this. I have 2 proof from tudor realty , they send me letters about how many people were in front of me .

So what you are saying is, Tudor Hill told you they are in the 30s on the new studio list (2016) but Kathy said they have not started the new list? On Mitchell Lama connect it says they are up to 588 which I am assuming is the old list. Some clarity would be helpful!

I had a similar problem with another Mitchell Lama building. In 2014, I was told my wait would be about 3 years. Yet every six months when I called, there were more people ahead of me instead of less. They had gone through all the veterans so that wasn't it. I stopped by the office and all the numbers next to the names and on the list pages had been removed. The woman in the office said there's an internal list, but the posted internal list didn't have any names on it. After being told for the first year or so that I would have a wait of 3 years, in 2017, the office said that only one apartment of this size becomes available every year. This is also Metro management. I contacted every name I could find at Thomas DiNapoli's office (they did the audits on the other Mitchell Lama buildings). I heard back from Tina Kim who said they would talk to HPD on my behalf. That was last September and I haven't heard anything since.

can you please help me, someone i can get in contact with, i already started doing research to talk to someone of the housing department, this cant stay like that, i heard a couple years ago some management in east midtown plaza was keeping apartment for themselves, i woulnt be surprise , happening again with 1540 york ave because is one of the best if not best location and apartment . i was in contact with Tudor realty every 6 months and my log number was very close to being called and this was not done over the phone, they had send me letters of the updates from the list, but now new management, which is metro management is saying that i have to wait 5 years because they haven't started on the list yet.

That's honestly such BS of them to do! Let's all help each other. Can we help you write the letter and find out where to mail it?

Read these articles. They discuss how Mitchell Lama buildings aren't following the rules. State comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s office did audits on several buildings and found that management companies weren't keeping the proper documentation showing the order that tenants were selected.

I think Tina Kim and anyone who will talk to you at Thomas DiNapoli's office is a good place to start. And yes, if there's an office you can visit, you should do that too. Also, if the list is posted (which I believe, it's supposed to be) take pictures of it. I wish I had done that from the beginning. Originally, the list I saw had numbers next to all the names, but the new list didn't have any numbers.

I haven't followed up with Tina Kim since last September. I also haven't been back to the office. I did notice that the online waiting list hasn't moved since then so I'm hoping they're investigating.
