What are the chances they will privatize? I wonder.

Chances are always good that they will privatize, because there is big money to be made.

It's just so frustrating. I really have a bone to pick with these buildings that do lotteries knowing people will be waiting 10+ years. It's not ethical.

There was a person on here, Waiting4Chelsea who said she knew people in the building and predicted the studio waitlist. She was right. She also predicted this new studio waitlist would be cycled through within 5-8 years. I am wondering if she is also right about that and Metro Management just says 10 years because it's easier (like how Atlantic Terminal 1 and 2 say 30 years when all know that is not the case at aaaaalll).

I wonder if Chelsea is right because she clearly knew about the studio wait list before anyone else. She also knew there were a few people left on the old studio wait list, a fact confirmed to me by the management company too.

I wish she would come back to the forum so I can ask her! COME BACK, CHELSEA! lol

I waited 16 years for Mitchell-Lama. I agree, it is not ethical. But it seems a little less not-ethical on this side of the apartment door.

How's this: I read they were privatizing and I thought "that's that." I wrote them asking for my deposit back, and in the cross-mail I got an apartment offer. Turns out the "privatization" was only in the minds of a reporter for the Times, it failed the vote.

Here's an unassailable truism: in 10 years, 10 years will have passed.

Finally found on another tread. Yep York Hill switched to new Metro Management

Metro however will not answer any questions about York Hill whether in writing or on the phone. They will tell you that all you need to do is "just ask Kathy and she will tell you about the list", and then forward you to the YH manager on site who is at York Hill on Thursday and Friday from 9-4. Her name is indeed Kathy. You can reach her at 212-452-0757.

But be forewarned: Kathy never answers the phone. I've been trying to call for about five weeks now to see if I can get an update on the list and it just rings over and over.
