I know someone with 13xx log number seeking a one bedroom. They got an email this week saying their log# has been reached for processing so they should complete application and submit documents. They replied with a question and included their log # and that they are seeking a one bedroom. There came a reply very soon saying no one bedrooms at this time. The application would be put on hold until there are one bedrooms available.

I wonder if all unit sizes are in the same lottery, and if the email this week is a project to weed out people who are not interested anymore. The first email said if they got no reply they must assume there was no interest in an apartment and would go to the next log number.
There are a lot of unknowns here. We don't really know how many apartments of each size are in the lottery. Is there an actual specific number of apartments available or is it some scheme based on percentages of apartments or market conditions. This is a different flavor of lottery than the regular formula. It would be great for them to say "we have so many of these and so many of those available at such and such prices" like the other lotteries do but that's not the case. They give the size, income range and price range but not the number of apartments in each category. My log # is up there and I would hold my breath even if my number was 1,300. https://www.stuytownlottery.com/medi...lottery-ad.pdf

It's confusing why they keep requesting documentation when they have no 1 bedrooms available.

That is awesome, I am trying to get into a 3 bedroom (have 5 kids and need out of our tiny space!). I have to more days to get all the documents together. Did you have a lot of documents? I am worried I have too many and they all won't send in one email!

Make sure all your docs are in a single PDF and compress the file before sending!

They are all occupied, but they will put you on a waiting list.

DO NOT zip up your files, you would think that is the way to do it, but they emailed me back and asked me to unzip the folder, and send all the files back as attachments, which is a little crazy in 2021, but what you gonna do

Trust me, the lady handling things doesn't strike me as tech savvy. It's really annoying to have to re-send documents little by little that I already emailed. If they ask me for another one, I'm just gonna pass and stay where I am, the need is not so urgent anymore

Did anyone that was offered an apartment recently receive an email from Beam advising that your credit report was completed and you were approved for an apartment *before* receiving an email with the offer? TY
