Wow! This is exciting! I sent 3 sets of documents in August, after initial request in May, and I think they checked my credit a week ago. Hoping to hear soon...
I was offered an apartment today, too. Posted in this thread not too long ago. Log # in the 600s. Was asked for, and sent in, documents just a couple of weeks ago.
Just under $1800 for a 1-bedroom on the 1st Ave Loop.
Thanks! You've been a big help for many in this thread. Was wondering - do I understand correctly that there are 8 apartments (A through H) on each floor of each building?

How do you know they checked your credit? After they told me my file was on hold, I refroze my credit reports. It's making me uneasy though. I have this fear they're going to try to access my credit sooner than I think and when they can't, they'll disqualify me!

You could walk into the office and ask if that would disqualify someone. And you could try calling the company they use - it's on the consent form...I called them once.
This waiting does seem normal, but it is excruciating. And stories of "things gone wrong" makes it worse. I keep reminding myself that it takes months of resubmissions for most people.
I don't know they did. I think they did because I got a credit alert saying there there was a "soft inquiry" and I haven't applied for any other credit.

Yes, there are usually eight per floor in Stuy Town, but in some cases (such as T or M, the lower two floors in each building) there may be fewer. Also, occasionally toward the top of the building there might be six apartments.
If you need advice on the First Avenue Loop area, let me know. It's super convenient, close to stores and the M15 bus, but it can be noisy, especially if your unit directly faces First Avenue.
Does anyone know here how rent increases work at StuyTown for these units?
